Reglaze is a quick process, which will change the appearance of your bathroom, following detailed procedures to ensure a professional finish and long-term durability. There are differences when restoring different surface materials with different accessories.

1. Drain is removed.
2. Chips or cracks are repaired with polyester caulk.
3. Surfaces are prepared with an acid etching.
4. Wet sanding providing adhesion.
5. Clean the surface.
6. Apply the new coating.

Generally, a catalyzed two-component crosslinking synthetic white coating is applied, but the coating does not have the durability or abrasion tolerance of the original glass enamel coating on a new factory bathtub. In most cases, the coating should be 5-8 mils thick when cured to provide the best long-term results. This is usually accomplished by spraying 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of top coat.
